Selected work
- Event-driven microservices: Led Bigbox's migration from a monolith to services on GCP Pub/Sub, and designed the internal Python library that every backend service uses to publish and consume events.
- Search platform: Moved product search from database queries to Elastic App Search (~10× faster), then to Elasticsearch with hybrid BM25 + semantic search, cutting latency by another ~50%.
- AI bug-fixing agent: Monitors Jira, spins up Claude Code on Cloud Run Jobs, analyzes the bug and proposes a pull request. An initiative I proposed and led.
- Payments: Integrated Stripe, PayPal, MercadoPago, MODO and Openpay, then migrated to the Yuno orchestrator to stop paying that integration cost.
- Performance: Image proxy (~5× faster page loads), Cloudflare CDN, GraphQL optimization and caching across services.
